Lemon Detox Diet

The Lemon Detox Diet is one of the most popular detox diets around.  It is an easy, do it yourself detox plan that works!  It uses items you have at home or can easily pick up at the grocery store.  The Lemon Detox Diet is not a fad detox, it has been around and people have been using it with success for a long time!

Just two things before we being:

  1. Before you start any detox program, it is important that you consult a doctor.  Everyone is different and we all respond to new things differently.  So it is best to make sure that a detox will not cause any ill health effects.
  2. If you currently have a diet that is high in processed foods, soda, junk food, etc., slowly wean yourself off of those items and replace them with fruits and vegetables for about a week before starting the Lemon Detox Diet. Otherwise, your body will be having extreme cravings for junk during the detox and it is highly likely that you will fail.

The Lemon Detox Diet is very simple to make – just make sure you have the correct, pure ingredients. Juice fresh lemons – don’t use lemon juice concentrate. Use PURE maple syrup (not pancake syrup). It is usually found by the pancake syrup at the grocery store, but it will be a smaller bottle and it will say ‘pure’. You can also find it at health food stores.

Lemon Detox Diet Recipe
Put 4 oz cold water in a glass
Add the juice from 1/2 lemon
Add 2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
Add a dash of Cayenne Pepper

Using a spoon, stir well. Add another 4 oz of cold water and stir again.

Drink this lemon water 6 – 10 times daily.

You should also have 1 large glass of water with 1 teaspoon of salt each day to help stimulate bowel movements. If you can’t take the salt water drink, substitute 1 teaspoon senna tea instead of the salt.

Drink the salt or senna tea solution in the evening.

Take a multi vitamin each day.

Follow the Lemon Detox Diet for 3 to 7 days.

*NOTE: If you need to take the lemon drink with you – to work, etc., do not put in the cayenne pepper in until ready to drink. The cayenne pepper gets hotter as it sits in the water, so it is the last thing you want to add.
