Detoxing the Body

I am sure we have all seen the commercials for gasoline companies that talk about all the gunk that builds up in your car over time.  You know the ones, use our gas because it will clean out your engine and get rid of all the additives, etc. that have built up over time.  Well, our bodies are a lot like the cars in those commercials.  Over time, toxins can build up in our bodies and we become slow and sluggish, not performing at our best.  So, just like the cars in those commercials – we need to be cleaned out.  Time for a good detox!

We live in a world where chemicals and toxins are everywhere around us.  They are in the food we eat and the air we breathe.  We even find them in our water and our beauty products.  It is no wonder our bodies get overwhelmed with all the pollutants around us and the refined foods that are such a big part of our diets.

Research has shown that 60 – 80% off cancers are related to the toxins in our environment – whether it is from the food we eat or the water we drink.  We are bombarded by toxins every day and our bodies are absorbing these toxins.  Most of the time these toxins take up residence in our fat cells.

If you feel sluggish, have weight gain, low immunity, and just not feeling up to par, your body is becoming toxic and you need to remove the toxins to feel good again.  The process of getting rid of the toxins is commonly called detoxification or simply detox.
